Boost your rendering in openGL applications


Yesterday I was reading a tutorial on openGL and I discovered a very interesting method to speed-up our openGL application, just by compressing the textures used. Check it out here and take a look to the original paper here.

Well I like to use existing libraries for doing basic stuff like loading images, but maybe in this case write the DDS loader by ourself (or just use the code in the links :p) could be good for the app performance.
